El Fenix Famous Mexican Restaurant in Dallas

Great for large groups and accommodates small children well. We had a table of 15 on a Saturday night and waited maybe 10 minutes to be seated. Their margaritas taste a lot like Gatorade which isn’t bad at all but very unique. The food is always consistent and good. I had the carne asada and meat was tender and not fatty. Service was a little slow at points but our server was waiting on two other tables the size of ours also it was a lot to keep if with if I had to guess. Overall easy place to park, find something for everyone because their menu is large, and they can accommodate so many tables you don’t feel pressured to hurry.

Service was incredibly slow and inattentive. Margaritas tasted like lemon line slurpee. Food came out in waves. By the time we received a 2nd round of drinks we were finished with the meal. Would not go back here again.

This is one of our favorite Mexican places in the city. Their chips and queso are out of this world! We really enjoy coming here, the service is great and the prices are very good.

Consistently good food but erractic service. The food here is always good. Love the salsa and the enchiladas. Lunch menu is reasonably priced and I've enjoyed all the dishes I've tried. That said, service can be hit or miss. Sometimes we're in and out in half an hour during weekday lunch rushes, sometimes it takes an hour plus. Wouldn't chance it on a day when timing is important.

Great food. Very pretty Atmosphere..

This week, I ordered curbside lunch and when I arrived, I realized my card wasn't working. The manager, Maria, was so gracious. She allowed me to leave her my information and call her later that evening to pay. Without her I wouldn't have had lunch! Great staff and a great lunch.

Best chips and salsa. Everything else was pretty good. Fast casual Tex Mex.

The friendliest and fastest working Staff In Dallas, no lie. They always deserve more than a 20% tip and I’m always happy to give more. Their enchiladas are bomb and the Sopapilla is so tasty! Yummy dessert! They have great food specials too!

Fast service, great food, and fantastic $1.00 margaritas from May 1st to May 5th.

Chicken fajita nachos were great. Can't sit more than 6 to a table so our party of 8 was separated into 2 tables 6 feet apart. Server brought one ticket for all 8 people. Never asked if we wanted separate tickets. Disappointing this trip.

They have good food and good service

Simple menu now but still good Tex Mex. I live their fajita nachos, chips and salsa.

Yummy food, great service, sweet prices!

We have enjoyed eating at this El Felix location for over 40 years. We appreciate the good food and the excellent service from both Javier and Raul. We eat here twice a week inside the restaurant. We would not eat here if we did not feel Completely safe under the current situation.P.S. The management and hostess staff make you feel right at home!Howard and Jan

I loved the food. Salsa was really good but they have tiny bowls and slow service. Restaurant itself was beautiful and clean staff was well dressed and courteous.

It's fitting that El Fenix is amongst the first restaurants that has reopened its doors to dining IN. While not all locations are open yet, the Casa Linda location is open for business and I was able to get my texmex on. Welcome back El Fenix. Like your namesake says the "Fenix" has risen. Yum.

Great food & service here, especially the service. You can get food Mexican all over dallas, we like El Fenix because the service is so consistently good, as is the food, and their prices are reasonable.

Good food at good prices. Look for their healthy options in the back of menu. The place is relaxed.

Absolutely amazing love the chips & food is off the chain good

I eat here a lot since I work in the area. I got to say their service is always awesome and they keep the spot neat consistently. Prices are affordable and they serve sizeable portions.

I love going to El Fenix on Northwest Highway. This is one of my favorite places to eat with my friends. The food is great and fresh. The service is excellent, and the price is right.

We drove all the way from Oklahoma City to Dallas to eat at El Fenix. The one we usually go to was closed because of the covid-19. This El Fenix was just as good as our favorite one.

We go here at least two Sundays a month. The food and service is ok, but they really should change up the buffet items every so often. The "same old same old" just gets old. I would like to see them keep the staples but maybe have a couple of dishes that rotate in and out for some variety.

Nice site for quality mexican food. Got there near seven, it wasn't very crowded. The service was very welcoming and observant. It has a cool atmosphere. I see why this place has so many good reviews.

3 out of 5. The location was busy and took a moment to get our order out. The employees seemed overwhelmed by bringing drink we already had and ordered. Over all great place to bring your family and dates. Oh and the drinks ( wink face) are amazing. We will all be back!!

I've been eating here for over 40 years and try to make it back when I'm in town. Maybe the 5 stars is for nostalgia but my friends also agree it's wonderful. Authentic.

mexican food and the feeling at this place is super good. Great place to chill, get away, eat some good food. There was quick and friendly service. The bill was decent for the quality.

TexMex and service at this place is excellent. Honestly my favorite evening place. Next time I'll be back with my coworkers. This place has a nice atmosphere. Reminds me of a cafe in Chicago I liked to visit.

Great chips & salsa and a number of savory entrees. Happy hour deals on margaritas. Its a long standing local Mexican venue.

Food was hot and good service was excellent wait was short to get a table.

Good customer service. However, My chicken tortilla soup only had 2 very small pieces of chicken in it.

Best chips ever...super thin, fresh, crisp. Chile relleno good. Guacamole good. Sopapillas were gummy on inside and tasted like old grease.

My family and I had lunch at El Fenix yesterday. Our server Raquel was wonderful! She is very attentive. This is one of our few outings lately, we felt comfortable. Our food and service was great! Both managers stopped by and checked on us at different time. We had a very pleasant lunch. Thank you El Fenix. We will definitely be back!!
